Consolidated Electronics International will accept units shipped to us via UPS, RPS, FedEx, USPS and truck freight.  If your unit is under manufacturer’s warranty or an extended warranty, a copy of the receipt or service contract is required before work can begin.  Please check the brands we repair under warranty as well as the extended warranties we honor before shipping your warranty product.  If you are not sure if we can cover your product under warranty please contact our office at (919) 821-5152 or (888) 821-5152 or you may e-mail us at service@consolidatedelectronics.com.

Shipping Cover the unit with a plastic bag if possible.  This will stop the packing material from entering the unit and causing additional damage.  Ensure the unit is well packed and padded with at least three inches of packaging on all six sides.  Include our convenient and easy printable shipping form with the advance payment, contact information, and a description of the units malfunction.  The more descriptive you are the more likely it is we will be able to isolate the problem quickly.  We highly recommend you insure your package against shipping damage with whichever shipper you choose.

 

How much will it cost?  There is a minimum non-refundable bench fee for out of warranty products of $35.00 - $120.00 depending on your product.  The printable shipping form lists the corresponding rate for each item.  This bench fee covers diagnostics and most minor repairs.  If the repair is estimated to be higher than the approved minimum bench fee then we will stop repairs and contact you with an estimate.  If the repair can be done for the minimum bench fee then we will complete repairs and contact you to arrange delivery.  Our goal is to provide you with the fastest and most cost effective service possible.

 

Our Warranty – “Workmanship performed and materials replaced are warranted for ninety days after the date of completion (thirty days for work done under manufacturer or extended warranty coverage.)  If trouble develops in work performed or parts replaced, no charge will be made for replacement of defective parts.  This warranty does not cover any transportation or handling fees.  Misuse, failure due to external sources (power surges, acts of God, water, sand, bug infestation, etc.), or opening of the unit by unauthorized personnel voids this warranty.”

 

Repair Time Normal repair turnaround time is 3-5 days.  This does not include shipping times, back ordered parts, holidays or weekends.  We make every effort to repair and return units as quickly as possible.  You may always check on the status of your repair through our online form – Check Status of Repair.
